On February 26, parts of PNG were impacted by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake that caused tragic loss of life and destruction of infrastructure, particularly around Komo, Tari, and Mendi.
This project will enable us to consolidate and forward funding to key organisations that we know well, and who are involved in delivering critical help effectively and efficiently. For example, SIL PNG is working with others, particularly Mission Aviation Fellowship, providing fixed wing aircraft and helicopters to deliver supplies and materials to remote, affected areas.
